We hope you are all enjoying the summer! We'll be closed on Friday to celebrate and wish
all of you a very happy 4th of July!
As summer fun we are asking you to help us improve our website as well as learn something new.
Starting July 1st we will have hidden paw prints among the pages of our website. Count the paw
prints and submit your answer. The winners will receive a $5 Starbucks or Dunkin
Donuts gift card and be entered in a drawing for you and 10 colleagues at your office to have
pizza on us! While you are on the website, please make suggestions about what you would
like to see and read. (Also, see what colors you can find on our little chihuahua.) The
deadline for entries is July 30th.
Have a great month!
The KasTech Team

The Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 made documenting internal control procedures mandatory for public
companies. But wouldn't it be a good idea for you to document your business processes as
well? A solid system that defines rights and responsibilities as well as step-by-step
procedures for completing tasks can save time and effort. This article explains the benefits
involved in documenting business processes and provides suggestions on how to do so.
The integration between SageCRM and the Sage Accpac Order Entry system provides your sales, customer

If you’ve ever used the internet to find a good local restaurant, chances are you’ve seen a search result
page featuring a map with markers indicating locations of about ten local restaurants. What you may
not know is that the two major search engines, Google
and Yahoo, make it easy to create or edit a listing
for a local business. Also, much of the information in a typical local listing can be added for free.

WWW Search Tip of the Month
Finding reliable information on the web can be a trick business. Anyone can
put anything on a website for any reason. When looking at a website, ask
yourself the following questions:
- What is the source of the information? Is the source trustworthy?
Do they know what they are talking about? (Example: baseball
statistics for the Major League Baseball website vs. baseball statistics
from Joe's "I love the Phillies" site)
- Why was the site created? To educate? To sell a product?
(Example: nutritional information from the National Institutes of
Health vs. nutritional information from a company selling a vitamin
supplement)
- Does the author for the information have a bias? (Example: firearms
safety statistics from the IRA vs. firearms safety statistics from a gun
control advocacy group)
- How current is the information? 2009? 2003? 1998?
(Example: sales statistics quoted in a 2009 New York Times article vs.
sales statistics quoted in a 2003 New York Times article)
Happy Searching!
